Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone who’s reading this, but most of all to my best LJfriends: Karen, Helen, and Janet. Hope 2007 is a good number for you!

I drop by to admit to one of my New Year resolutions. It is to return to original writing this year. Maternity leave is officially over ;). I noticed that writing fanfic is making me a lazy writer (though in some aspects of writing it does not . . . hmmm, must think about it some more ;). Whatever. I need to return to my fictional worlds soon, so expect some of my original stuff to appear here as well. Not that I expect anyone to read it ;). I just need some motivation and I know that posting things on the net works that way for me.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, and make sure that your resolutions are resolved this year!

Olga.

((hugs)) and Happy New Year to you too! Congratulations on the baby!

I look forward to reading your original fiction, but I hope you don't give up entirely on fanfic. :)

"Baby" is two and a half now ;). It was a looong "maternity leave" from writing, but since writing is a hobby anyway it does not matter. And actually it was much easier to write when she was younger, sleeping during the day and all that. This last year was the toughest.

I'm not going to give up on fanfic, no way! My bsg obsession is not going to let go that easily ;)

Thank you Olga, hope 2007 is a good new year for you too!

Best of luck with the original writing and I look forward to reading it. I need to make a similar resolution myself as I have about three half finished original stories and I need to actually finish one! Trouble is I enjoy writing BSG so much (and getting feedback) that I allow it to distract me :)

Yeah, writing bsg is fun, I couldn't give up on it, yet :)
It's easier than original, because there's no need to develop characters, and it's enough to read some other story, or re-watch an episode to grasp the general "feel" of the story. There's so much inspiration all around.

I need to figure out some way to avoid getting distracted ;) Maybe during summer hiatus? Yeah, right...

Happy New Year to you too!
Love to read your original writing, and continued fanfic, as well. No resolutions for me. Every year keeps getting better all on its own. Resolutions have never worked for me anyway. If I had one, it would be trying to figure out how to link a story on Beyond Insane. Still can't get it to work. Oh well. Some sort of Mac block with a detour in my brain, I guess.

Let's see what 2007 brings us all - lots of good and creative stories, I hope.

Resolutions have never worked for me anyway.

It's funny, because it's the same for me, but I still do it :) This time though, I'm gonna be TOUGH. I'm gonna DO IT!

I'd help you with posting stories on Beyond Insane, but Mac is a foreign thing for me. Is the problem adding the link, or something else? Because 'link in html' I could do.

Yes, it's adding the link. I designed a web site, have added links numerous times, and can't get it to work here. Pretty ridiculous, huh? Last time, it linked to some weird Google page.
